During the unveiling, Manish Sharma, the Chairman of Panasonic Life Solutions India and South Asia, remarked, “With incentives like the PLI scheme, India is steadily evolving into a global manufacturing epicenter. Our NPM-G series SMT machines align with India’s self-reliance (Aatmanirbhar) vision, enhancing OEMs’ PCB Assembly capabilities. This is instrumental in manufacturing premium electronics, including mobiles and wearables, on Indian soil.”

Tsutomu Naito, Divisional Managing Director of PSFSIN, accentuated the machines’ transformative potential, saying, “Our ambition is to redefine manufacturing by integrating superior equipment with edge devices. The NPM-GH and NPM-GP machines pave the way for autonomous factories, elevating production capacity, quality, and efficiency standards. These machines ramp up productivity by a remarkable 12%, showcasing our commitment to manufacturing automation.”

The APC-5M System: Enhancing the new machines, Panasonic has also rolled out the APC-5M system, a cutting-edge solution for process control. This system meticulously monitors real-time discrepancies in production, detects anomalies, and autonomously pinpoints root causes. Over time, as it gathers more data, the APC-5M system refines its factory optimization capabilities, excelling in real-time monitoring and predictive maintenance.
