Solvay introduced a new grade of Rhodianyl, made from preconsumer recycled polyamide. #sustainability

Solvay announced the launch of a specialized grade of Rhodianyl, produced from 100% pre-consumer recycled polyamide at the company’s Santo Andre plant in Brazil. The product has attained SCS Recycled Content Certification. SCS Global Services is a third party environmental and sustainability certification body that performs audits of manufacturing processes to verify recycled content. SCS is recognized as a certifier by the Association of Plastics Recyclers. Cushioning Packaging

Rhodianyl can be applied in engineering plastics for the automotive, small appliances and textile markets. The nylon 6,6 material will complement the company’s portfolio of sustainable polymers for textiles and fibers for the consumer goods industry.
