With PANGAIA, the brand remains focused on ways to foster attractive yet environmentally equitable garments. Now the materials science entity has enlisted the help of Zellerfeld to produce its debut 3D-printed sneaker.
Dubbed the “ABSOLUTE SNEAKER,” the new on-demand 3D-printed sneakers are crafted from TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) and come in versatile hues of black and oat. The shoe has a minimal slip-on design that has sleek curved features. Men's 4040 V5 Tpu Molded Baseball Shoe
“As we launch our partnership with PANGAIA, I couldn’t be more thrilled to see major brands embracing the 3D printing revolution. With the ABSOLUTE SNEAKER, PANGAIA has created a shoe that not only prioritizes sustainability, but is also the lightest and quickest to print, setting a new standard for what’s possible in printed footwear,” said Zellerfeld’s CEO and co-founder, Cornelius Schmitt. “Our hope is that this partnership inspires others to join the mission towards a circular future and to recognize the potential that 3D printing holds in revolutionizing the way we create products.”
In the vein of circularity, PANGAIA is also set to provide a $30 voucher for customers who return the sneaker to them at the end of its lifetime for repurposing. Priced at $250 USD, the PANGAIA x Zellerfeld ABSOLUTE SNEAKER is set to release on Thursday, April 13 online.
